No Rapid Weight Loss
As we try to become more fit I think it is important that we set reasonable goals for ourselves. In my opinion, most folks are 10-30 pounds over the weight they would like to be.
As I talked about in the Guide, most of us who are overweight are never going to weigh the same as we did in high school.
But we can look and feel better than we do today.
So we should set reasonable and healthy goals.
If a person needs to lose weight, a one (1) pound of weight reduction per week would be a fine goal.
We should all check with our doctors and tell them what we want to accomplish, physicians are trained in these matters and can always offer prudent advice.
The worst thing we can do is try to lose the weight “all at once.” I must have tried that dozens of times and it never worked for me.
It is my belief that anyone that tells you that you can lose “5-10 pounds” in 10 days or something like that does not have your best interests at heart.
Now, the first 4 ½ months I tried to lose weight using the Guide, I lost 75 pounds or, roughly four (4) pounds per week.
There is a reason for this: I was Morbidly Obese!
I had artificially, over many years, inflated my body with excess weight through overeating.
Once I reversed course and started to eat in a health manner, the weight started to come off.
So use the Guide to plan your meals and set a reasonable goal of losing one (1) pound per week.
I doubt you will be sorry.
